Clinique Lashes Top and Bottom

Clinique mascaras have always been on my must try list however in my never ending quest to try all of the mascaras I just had never got around to trying them out until now. I was given the chance to try Clinique’s famous High Impact and the very innovative Bottom Lash Mascara.

Clinique High Impact Mascara – This mascara is famed for volumising and lengthening lashes and while I think it is a great mascara I’ve seen many drugstore ones that work just as well. I did like this however I just wasn’t amazed by it and I did experience a little bit of smudging over time, nothing too major but for a mascara of this price I want it to stay put all day.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara – I never, ever wear mascara on my bottom lashes since my lashes are quite long and dark I always have difficulty applying it neatly and I find that it will smudge under my lash line over time and just look plain messy and terrible so using the Bottom Lash Mascara was a bit of a revelation to me. Since this is a tubing mascara it doesn’t smudge and can be removed in tubes using hot water, the brush is specially engineered for tiny lashes and so it is super tiny.  It took a little getting used to applying this and I found the easiest and neatest way for more was to tilt my head forward to prevent myself smudging it beneath my eyes. I can’t see myself ever wearing mascara on my bottom lashes on a daily basis but I’ll wear it on nights out when I want to be a bit more dramatic.
