After chatting with Stephen we did a few rounds of trivia, the questions were all beauty related of course and the winners were Kimmi and Stacey. The lucky girls each won some makeup courtesy of Lime Crime.

The came a panel discussion with Christina of Hair Romance a full-time blogger and Hannah DeMilta from Rocketman Media. It was a very informative discussion covering topics such as bloggers vs brands, sponsored content, expectations of bloggers who’d like to work with brands and some of the no-nos for bloggers when working with brands.

After the discussion we were fed some delicious lunches courtesy of Miss Chu Tuckshop, it was a working lunch and we set about collaborating and working on a code of practice for bloggers covering topics such as transparency and disclosure, learning the legality of holding competitions on your blog, honesty, credibility and respect for each other. Hopefully we can come up with a Code of Conduct that can be adopted by Beauty Bloggers in Australia so that everyone knows how to blog in a fair and ethical way.

Sara-May spreading out the yummy lunches, thanks so much to Miss Chu Tuckshop.

  1. It was a triumphant day for us all, in my opinion. My brain was bursting with education by the end!
