Over the weekend I flew to Sydney for a very exciting niche beauty blogging event called Beauty Bloggers Utopia and very kindly organised by Sara-May and Larah of Makeup Utopia. The weekend began nice and early on Saturday morning with a breakfast event at the Guylian Cafe organised by Cosmetiques De France and hosted by Arnaud where he told us about three cult French pharmacy brands that have very recently been introduced into the Australian market.

Some of the delightful treats from Guylian Cafe!

Bioderma Crealine – This cult cleanser is a favourite with makeup artists, it’s as gentle as water, soap free, cleanses impurities and removes makeup while respecting the skins balance. I find this so gentle and effective, particularly when it comes to removing eye makeup, it doesn’t sting my eyes and works so quickly.

Uriage Thermale Water – I am a huge fan of facial sprays and so it’s no surprise that this product has been living in my handbag ever since BBU. I used it to refresh and moisturise my skin on the flight home, it can be used to set makeup in place but I love its soothing and cooling effect on a hot day!

Nuxe Multi Usage Dry Oil – This product is absolutely amazing, packaged somewhat similarly to a bottle of perfume and containing six precious oils and vitamin E. It can be used on the face, body and hair and the first time I used it I puzzled over the tiny hole to dispense the oil but with this product a very small amount goes a very long way. I’ll run this through my hair after washing and it leaves my hair soft, shiny and best of all tangle free. My hair is notoriously difficult to brush but this product makes life so much easier. It also works beautifully as a moisturiser for the face and body which would make this product ideal for travelling if only it wasn’t in a breakable glass bottle!

Thank you to Arnaud and Cosmetiques De France for sponsoring Beauty Blogger Utopia and for bringing these amazing products into Australia at last!

I’m so in love with it! They also make a sparkly version with gold shimmer in it which I think would look gorgeous in summer.
