Prestige is a brand that has been increasingly getting on my radar since they re-branded earlier in the year and have been releasing some great new products. Their latest range is a collection of high impact, long-wearing eyeshadows called Total Intensity. There are eight eyeshadows in the range:

  • Black Magic – Greyish black with silver shimmer, my photo doesn’t really capture it well but it is buildable and the glitter is not large or gritty.
  • Hocus Pocus – A gorgeous purple/green duochrome which is very much like MAC’s Club, I’ll do a separate post comparing the two in a future post.
  • Hypnotised – A stunning shimmery teal.
  • Obsession – A bold sapphire blue that reminds me of Deep Truth by MAC, another shade that I also own and so will feature a comparison in a future post.
  • Bewitched – Such a difficult colour to describe but it has a golden brown hue with a greenish duochrome shift, a stunning colour.
  • Crave – An orange gold that leans to copper.
  • Spellbound – A golden peach shade which has an iridescent shimmer to it, another absolutely stunning colour.
  • Addiction – An aubergine purple shade.
Each eyeshadow is individually packaged in a square black compact with a clear window in the lid and each pan contains 2grams of product. The compacts are sturdy and click shut very securely however the font on the black lid reminds me a little of the Ed Hardy logo a brand renowned for being loud, tacky and over-priced:

These eyeshadows are beautiful quality and comparable to eyeshadows I’ve used from high end brands such as MAC and Inglot, they’re highly pigmented, have a beautiful soft texture and feature some lovely unusual duo chrome effects which are rarely seen in brands of this nature. I’ve only worn Hocus Pocus, Bewitched and Spellbound on my eyes, Hocus Pocus lasted very well with an eyeshadow primer and I never got any creasing. Bewitched unfortunately creased on me and Spellbound seemed to look quite powdery and didn’t apply all that well unfortunately but this would make a lovely highlight colour. Since they have such creamy textures I would recommend these as eyeshadows to be worn on evenings out when you want a glamorous smoky effect and don’t need it to last for longer than 6 hours.

RRP $18.95AUD, available from selected Priceline stores and on the Prestige website.
