TheBalm Comes to David Jones

I stumbled across a brand new display of The Balm products in David Jones recently a brand I fell in love with whilst in the USA with their cute retro packaging so I’m very excited to see it hit our shores finally. David Jones were offering a free gift with any purchase of $27.95 or more from the range and the gift is fantastic, a face palette containing 5 shadows, a lip and cheek cream and a lip gloss. I’ve been wanting to buy the Mary Lou Manizer highlighter for a long time but unfortunately they were sold out and so I purchased a peach blush in Frat Boy for $27.95.

Frat Boy $27.95AUD for 8.5g – I wasn’t sure if I was in love with this when I swatched it in store but when I took it home and applied it to my cheeks it was love. It’s quite pigmented so you have to be careful not to apply it too heavily but this is such good value for money and looks amazing. I’m not sure how well the cardboard packaging will hold up to being bashed around in a makeup bag but it sure is gorgeous. I also love that the pan is a nice big square size which makes it easy to dip my brush in and pick up some product.

Balmbini Babies of the Balm Face Palette contains the Highlighter/Shadow in Promiscuous Pearl, Shadow/Liner in Jinxy Jasmine, Shadow/Liners in Manic Maribel, Open to Offers Olwen and Lavish Latoya. Lip/Cheek Cream in Strawberry and Lip Gloss in Nude. The level of pigment is stunning with all of these colours although I haven’t tried them out in a look yet I can see that lip and cheek cream being rocked a lot this summer.

I am so happy to see this gorgeous range released in Australia at last, despite the fact that these products aren’t really the best for travelling since they are packaged in cardboard I can forgive them that since the products are of such beautiful quality and the packaging is just so cute!
