Topshop Makeup Haul

Since moving to Melbourne I have been practising a great deal of restraint in shopping and only splurging on the occasional must have makeup item such as the Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eyeshadows however I decided to go and check out the Topshop Store on Chapel St since I had quite a few items in my Topshop online basket and thought it would be great to see everything in person.

I didn’t end up purchasing any clothes however I did purchase three items from the makeup range: a Smoky Eye Palette in Tawny, a lipstick in Rumour Has it and a Cream Eyeshadow in Emerald City. I had to restrain myself from the nail polishes but there were some really gorgeous colours there so I may pick a couple of those up next time I make my way to the store.

Smoky Eye Palette (Tawny) – This contains four eyeshadows in a sparkly dark brown with gold shimmer, an olive greenish gold, a bronze and a shimmery pale pink. These eyeshadows reminded me a lot of Inglot single eyeshadows, they’re the same size although they aren’t as soft or quite as pigmented as Inglot, they are of very high quality. This little compact would be great in the travel makeup bag since it’s so slim.

Cream Eyeshadow in Emerald City – I wasn’t planning on buying one of these since they didn’t have any of the sort of colours I would typically go for but this colour was love at first swatch and on sale for only $5 so it made it’s way home with me. I haven’t tried wearing it on my eyelids yet so I’m not sure if it’s crease proof, fingers crossed it works for me!

Lipstick in Rumour Has it – This is a gorgeous dusty rose colour, perfect for every day, it does have a slight pearlescent finish that doesn’t quite border into frosty territory thankfully. It is a lovely creamy texture and I find it lasts very well on me as I’ve come to expect from all the Topshop lipsticks I’ve tried previously.

I’m so excited to be in the same city as a Topshop so I can go there anytime I want, this could be very bad for my credit card  but I’m overjoyed!
