It is not often you find a combination palette where every single product is useful and wearable but this palette may be the exception. Specifically designed with the travelling woman in mind it features a translucent powder, mascara, 4x lip colours, 4x eyeshadows and a blush and I’ve really been enjoying using this palette since it has everything you need in one place.

AeroMatte Ultralucent Pressed Powder – This is a translucent powder which I’ve found great for setting my foundation, I’m so glad this product is translucent rather than a pigmented powder meaning anyone can use it.

MagnaScopic Maximum Volume Mascara 1.5ml in Black: I had some troubles with this mascara and since I’m such a huge fan of the Estee Lauder Double Wear Mascara I thought I’d like it more. The first few times I used it I found it clumpy and the brush didn’t seem to separate my lashes. It took a lot of brushing to get the lashes nicely separated however after a few days of use the formula started to work a lot better for me giving great length to my lashes. I think my problems with it could be attributed to this being a miniature and the tube being over full of product so too much was coming out on those first few uses.

Pure Colour Eyeshadows in the shades, Glistening Gold, Nude Fresco, Sizzling Copper and Chocolate Bliss

Pure Colour Blush in Peach Passion
The four eyeshadows are all easily wearable neutrals, Chocolate Bliss is a gorgeous rich dark matte which makes it an ideal crease or brow shade. I like to use Glistening Gold as an inner corner highlight, Nude Fresco as a brow bone highlight, Sizzling Copper on the lid and Chocolate Bliss in the crease and to define my brows. However if you’d like a more neutral look you could stick with Glistening Gold on the lid and use Chocolate Bliss as a liner, the possibilities are endless. The Pure Colour Blush looks like a very soft peach in the pan but looks can be deceiving, this is very pigmented and a light hand is required. The blush pan is a little on the small side and since I prefer to use a big fluffy blush brush you do have to be careful not to mix it with any eyeshadow.

Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipsticks in the shades:  Pink Parfait, Wildly Pink, Coral Fantasy and Boise De Rose

I normally dislike lipsticks included in compacts since they can become contaminated if mixed together with powder products however these are very cleverly given their own separate space at the top with a clear lid to protect them. I find these lipsticks very pigmented, Coral Fantasy in particular leaves a long lasting stain on your lips. They can be a little drying though so a lip balm is required however since being in cold, cold Melbourne my lips are extremely dry so I really should be staying away from lipsticks.

All of that is housed in a stunning compact that feels quite sturdy and applicators are included. My only gripe is that the section with the powder in it was extremely difficult to slide across when I first tried opening it and I believe that was because the little brush got caught underneath it. The most clever thing about this compact is that the lip and powder trays can be removed so you can carry them around with you for touch ups which makes perfect sense since those are the parts of your makeup that you’ll want to touch up throughout the day. This is the first palette I’ve come across where I will be able to use each and every product in the palette. The colours are all complementary and neutral enough for work but can also create some stunning evening looks. All you need to pack is some foundation, concealer and eyeliner on a trip and this palette will take care of everything else.

This palette is an absolute must have for the sophisticated traveller and I can’t recommend it enough. I have a Face of the Day post coming up soon in which I’ll show you a look using products from this palette.
