I’ve read a lot of positive reviews and raves of Firebird Bath and Body (formerly known as Flourish) and I’ve been tempted to try some of their perfume oils for a long time so I finally took the plunge and purchased two of their perfume oils in Almond Milk and Brown Sugar.

Almond Milk: I love the scent of Almond oil and Amaretto and I remember reviewing the Burts Bees Almond Milk Handcream and finding it extremely overpowering but this perfume is softer and more milky although when you smell it up close you still get that nutty amaretto scent. This is so long lasting as well so there is no need to re-apply throughout the day.

Brown Sugar: The only way I can describe this is delicious! It’s sweet, sugary and with a hint of coconut. I want to lick my skin once I’ve applied it… I won’t though but I want to!

They come packaged in 30oz glass tubes with a rollerball applicator, these are perfect for work as well as all of travel that I do. Since they are roll on and worn very close to the skin they do not evaporate as quickly as traditional spray perfumes which I love since I can always smell the fragrance all day long and don’t feel the need to be constantly spritzing myself with perfume.

They cost $9USD each and shipping was $4.50USD. I placed the order on the 6th of May and received them on the 30th of May which is a pretty standard turn around that I would expect from the United States. I’ll be buying more of these in future and I’m also interested in purchasing some more products from this brand since they also do body lotions, lip balms, body scrubs and bath salts.

I have been wanting to try these since I saw how much Jess from the belle lumiere loves them, I think I have to take the plunge and treat myself. I like the idea of the rollerball, being able to carry it in my handbag is a major plus I think. Love your scent choices!

It’s hard to find a good brown sugar fragrance that is not killer-eye-watering sweet, so kudos to them!
Do you prefer perfume oils or solid balms? I’m thinking of adding perfumes to my product line but I’m leaning towards solid. xx

I think I prefer perfume oils but solid balms are also really great for travelling since you have no risks of spillages.
