I was recently introduced to the latest products developed by the Priceline range Models Prefer designed to extend wear time, brighten and highlight as well as correct mistakes.

The products in the range:

  • Eye Primer $12.99AUD – This is different to any eye primer I’ve ever used before, it has a light pigmentation and dries to a powdery finish. The pale pigmentation made it very effective at evening out the skintone around my eye area and it was effective at prolonging the wear time of my eyeshadow. My only gripe is that because it is so pale it had the effect of changing the colour of my eyeshadows and lightening them, since I tend to favour browns, golds and bronzes I was a little bit disappointed to see the colours loose their effect.
  • Lip Primer $9.99AUD – This product is a conditioning lip balm designed to extend lipstick wear. It is enriched with evening primrose and grapeseed oil. It can be worn on it’s own or beneath lipstick and I found this worked really nicely to provide a smooth surface for my lipstick but I didn’t think that it made it last any longer than normal. I still liked it though and will continue to use but I think any good lipbalm is effective at doing the same thing.
  • Eye Brightener $12.95AUD – A click pen style light diffusing brightener designed to be used under the eyes to help eliminate dark circles. I love this style of packaging and I’ve recently used up my Clinique Airbrush Concealer in a similar style so I was so pleased to see this product. I thought this worked amazingly on my under eye area especially early in the morning when I need all the help I can get to look fresh and rested.
  • Brow Highlighter $9.99AUD – This is a frosty pale pink highlighter in a jumbo pencil that is designed to be used under the arch of the eyebrows to give a defined and lifted look. I found this a little too frosty to use under the arch of my brow only due to my tanned features but it works beautifully to highlight the inner corners of your eyes. This would definitely work better on paler skin tones.
  • Corrector Pen $9.99AUD – This is a felt tip pen infused with makeup remover to correct mistakes and is handy to clean up smudges throughout the day. I wasn’t a fan of this as I don’t think it’s very hygienic and the tip gets very dirty as product builds up on it. I much prefer using cotton buds with makeup remover to correct mistakes and smudges as it’s much more hygienic.
I was really impressed with the products in this range as it’s not often you come across a drugstore brand that sells items like eyeshadow primers, illuminators and brighteners. These products are a great way to get started using priming and perfecting products without breaking the bank.
