December Empties

This is running  a little bit late but my laptop has been playing up so I haven’t been able to get much done lately. I had a goal of trying to do work on my blog every single day of 2012, if not a blog post at least to log in and work on things, or write notes in my notebook but it’s now 6 days in to January and I’m already behind however I’ve put myself on a no spend which is working quite well at this stage, although it is early!

Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion (250ml) – I received this at the Maxted Thomas Gala as part of the ABBW, I probably will buy this again eventually but I have so many lotions to work through before I need to repurchase.

Dove Go Fresh Nourishing Body Wash in Pomegrenate and Lemon Verbana (375ml) – This was also from an ABBW goodie bag, I really liked this, it had a really pretty fresh scent and left my skin feeling nice and moisturised which I find very appealing about the Dove range.

QV Gentle Conditioner (200gm) – I haven’t completely used this up but I just didn’t like how it left my hair, was far too frizzy when I used this and didn’t find it conditioned very well.

Pantene Clinicare Frizz Defense Shampoo and Conditioner Samples (40mls) – I have a feeling these might have also been from an ABBW goodie bag, I really like the way these leave my hair feeling smooth and manageable but I wouldn’t use Pantene regularly, just every now and again.

Pure Therapy Intense Nourishing Body Moist (60ml) – I received this as part of the ABBW as well, this is great for those with sensitive skin however I’m not that fond of the scent.

Pure Therapy Gentle Soap Free Body Cleanser (60ml) – This was also from the ABBW and recommended for sensitive skin.

Kosmea Clarifying Facial Wash Sample (20ml) – I ordered a travel kit from Kosmea containing a bunch of sample size products which are fantastic for the amount of travel I do. This was a really gentle, no foamy cleanser which was very effective at removing makeup.

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream Sample (8ml) – This was a free gift with an order I made from Adore Beauty and it reminded me a lot of the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream, it smelled just like it but has a nicer texture, creamier however I don’t find this very moisturising and still prefer my beloved Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation Shade 54 (30ml) – I love this product and I’m pretty sure it’s my holy grail, I purchased a back up of this when Bourjois had 50% off at Priceline months and months ago however I haven’t started using it since I’ve been trying out some other foundations.

YSL Elle Eau De Parfum Sample – This was a gift from Retrojetgirl, I love having these little samples in my work makeup bag to freshen up throughout the day at work. This smelled rather sweet and girly, very pretty.

Liposan Classic Care Lipbalm (5ml) – I’m certain this is just the Nivea lipbalm re-branded, picked this up while Greek Island Hopping when I lost my other lipbalm and it works pretty well, moisturises and smoothes.

ELF Lipgloss in Sorority Girl – This isn’t empty but it smells rancid, pretty sure it’s off and I did put it through the washing machine by accident once. Shame as it was such a pretty colour.

Smiths Rosebud Salve (15ml) – While I found this left my lips smooth it wasn’t very moisturising at all and left my lips drier in the end. It has a lovely soft rose scent though which is really pretty.

Blistex Lip Conditioner SPF 20 – I reallly don’t like the menthol scent of this, I used to love this lipbalm but I now find it’s not that moisturising and it seems to wear off my lips very quickly.

L’Oreal Elnet Satin Hairspray Extreme Hold (400ml) – I didn’t take a photo of this but I really like this hairspray, the slimline can it comes in, the way it brushes out after I’ve worn it. I have some other hairsprays to use up but I’ll definitely be buying this again.

I was away from home quite a lot in December so that’s why I went through a lot of my travel supplies, I’m also glad to be finally making some headway into my ABBW stash although I’ll be using products from ABBW for a long time to come yet!
