I am quite fortunate to be blessed with quite long, dark lashes that don’t need to be curled however I love adding mascara for added volume and drama, mascara is one product that I just can’t leave the house without (along with concealer). As a result I have tried loads of different mascaras over the years so I thought I’d do quick all in one reviews containing my thoughts on each.

Bourjois Volumizer in Noir Maximizer – This has a two in one mascara brush. Step one loads the brush up with a small amount of mascara to separate and comb through the lashes, step two is for building up loads of volume by loading the brush with heaps of mascara. I tend to use step one, then step two which can leave your lashes a bit of a mess then go back to step one to try and get the excess mascara off because it can get clumpy. This is a fantastic mascara and definitely up there as one of my all time favourites, I love mascara wands that are really loaded up with product and I would describe this mascara as making my lashes look “big”. Application can be a little bit time consuming to get right though because of the two step system, this is probably why I don’t end up reaching for this mascara much unless I have time to play around with it when I’m getting ready for work.

Here is Step one in action, nice separated lashes but no volume and length just yet.

Step Two gives a much thicker coating of mascara, my mascara is little bit old and needs to be binned so in these photos it is a little bit clumpy – but I love this mascara and would gladly re-purchase if I didn’t have another seventy five million mascaras sitting there waiting to be reviewed!

I haven’t tried this yet, as like you, I have 101 other mascaras to use up – they must breed in my make up drawer! I do like other products from Bourjois though so may give this a try once my stash has diminished a little!

This is a great mascara for a full on high impact look, I don’t understand where all the mascaras come from. I seem to buy so many on impulse!
