Inside one of the ABBW gift bags I came across the most beautiful collection of makeup from Australian company Mirenesse. All the products were from their latest collection Boutique M. I’m not very familiar with the brand but I fell in love with the gorgeous packaging that evoked a boudoir theme with little images of lacy fishnets, corsets, ornate hand mirrors, pearl necklaces and diamond rings. I was so impressed with the products that I just had to review them. I’ve also noticed that I very rarely review or purchase Australian products on my blog so I’m going to make a concerted effort to do more Australian made reviews.

Inside the box were five products:

Mirenesse Invisible Fill Makeup RRP $59.50AUD – Airbrush line filling mattifier with SPF 10 in the shade the Fairest. The packaging comes with a sponge attachment with a hole in the centre, you squeeze the product up out of the centre of the sponge and then apply to your face. The top of the lid also has a little mirror, I didn’t actually notice this until the second time I used it but I think that is just so clever and innovative. This product had an extremely light coverage and seemed to work more to even out the skin tone rather than cover it up. I disliked using the sponge as it seems to absorb a lot of product and will become unhygienic over time, however the sponge attachment can be removed and you can then dispense the product through a thin nozzle. I much preferred just squeezing it through the nozzle and applying with my fingers. I think this will be a great summer or daytime only foundation as the coverage is too light for nights out and if I’m going to be in photos I prefer a little more coverage.

Mirenesse Pearl Crush Creaseless Shadows in no. 3 Tahitian Pearls RRP $29.95AUD – This trio could not have been more perfect for me with a shimmery cream highlight colour, a shimmery brown and a gorgeous khaki green. These are my favourite eyeshadow colours right now and I had absolutely no expectations of these shadows having had no prior experience with this brand but they are stunning, the texture is smooth, soft and buttery and colour pay-off is outstanding. This was the stand out product for me.

Mirenesse Tightliner (Hydra Gel Eyeliner) RRP $29.95AUD – This is in the form of a felt tip pin with a long thin point. I was given the tightliner in the shade Closer a dark reddish brown. This is not the kind of colour I would ever normally wear and I don’t tightline my eyes (it scares me!) so I’ve been using it to line my upper lashline and create flicked looks. This has really good pigmentation but it is brand new so I’ll see how long it takes to start drying out which is always a problem with these kinds of liners. You really have to make sure you snap the lid on properly which I’m terrible at remembering to do so if mine dries out quickly it will be more through user error than through any fault of the product. I think this is a really good product however I doubt I’ll use it much since I prefer black liners.

Mirenesse Vibralash – Vibrating Brush Mascara with 3 speed touch control RRP $49.95AUD – This is the world’s first 3 speed touch control vibrating mascara. You control this by pressing a button in the top of the mascara lid once for the lowest speed, twice for medium speed then three times for super crazy fast vibration. The medium and high speeds scared me and I found that the fastest speed was vibrating my eyelids and I felt very uncomfortable putting it anywhere near my eyes. On the lowest speed I had no problems, it’s a lovely dark mascara, no clumping whatsoever and left my lashes looking lengthened and volumized. The lashes didn’t feel crunchy or gritty once dry and didn’t smudge after a long day of wear, I also had no problems removing it. All in all this is a fantastic mascara that I would happily recommend.

Mirenesse Viva Eternal Gloss in the shade “The One” RRP $24.95AUD – This is a gorgeous shimmery coral pink, it’s a beautiful colour and not at all sticky. I wasn’t a fan of the packaging which is a plastic tube with a plastic applicator that you squeeze the product out through. I found it difficult to get some gloss out and the plastic applicator doesn’t apply product that evenly which means your better off using a finger to apply which I dislike doing on the go.

Notice that I have a slight cut on my lip? My ham-fisted orthodontist made a complete botch of tightening my braces.

Here is a complete Mirenesse Face of the Day, I’ve paired everything with Becca cream blush in Turkish Rose. I noticed that when the green eyeshadow and brown eyeshadow are mixed together they formed this gold colour in the centre of my eyelid, so pretty! I was so blown away by the generosity of Mirenesse, these products are stunning and I’m now a huge Mirenesse fan.

Such a pretty FOTD, i love the packaging so pretty

  2. Everything looks so lovely, especially the eyeshadow and lipgloss. I’ve only tried samples of lipglosses and mascara from Mirenesse, the mascara was rubbish (samples were all dried out) but the lipglosses were lovely and non-sticky. :)

The packaging and presentation of this brand is outstanding, it’s all quite pricey unfortunately but I have my eye on some more eyeshadows from them!

  3. Wow – thanks for doing this post & FOTD. I only opened my box last night very impressed with the packaging and number of products. I too, haven’t tried Mirenesse. Now I can look forward to using them after seeing your photos. The lip gloss, eye shadows & mattifier look great!!!

  5. Jean says:

Wow! The only thing I have tried is the vibrating mascara ( I think) and it’s pretty good! You made me want to try the eyeshadow palette :) I got the blue one!

  6. Fast!! I haven’t yet look at anything I’ve gotten from ABBW. Been too flat out, but now I’m excited to check out the Mirenesse stuff after your review. *_*

I’ve been on a bit of a reviewing frenzy since ABBW, trying to work my way through everything! Love the Mirenesse stuff the best so far.

  7. Love my tightliner too- I got navy and its fab. If you love the vibrating mascara you will love their classic 24hr mascara (I sent the vibrating one back before as it was nowhere nears as good as the 24hr + it slides right off with warm water!)

    Am also loving my gloss!

    • Megan says:

I’ll have to try the classic 24hr mascara, I think we got one in our Lust Have it box, haven’t inspected that one closely yet. We really were spoiled at ABBW!

  8. We did your right- I cant keep up, oh goody, I liked that one, takes awhile to get use to applying something so runny but once it sets its a good un!

  9. Lilpil says:

gosh I havent opened mine yet except the mascara and I <3 that.

The colours look beautiful on your eye lids and suits your complexion very well.
