I was recently contacted to trial the latest range of hair products from Organix the Moroccan Argan Oil Collection. There has been a huge surge in demand for products containing argan oil which has the benefits of restoring shine, strengthening and and increasing hair elasticity. My only other experience using argan oil in a hair product is The Original Moroccanoil so I’ll compare my thoughts on that with the Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Collection.

Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo 385ml RRP $19.99 – This shampoo works beautifully and forms a rich foam to give my hair a squeaky clean feeling. I’m never too sure if I like this feeling but I have had no problems with it. It lathers quickly and I’ve had no scalp irritation issues with this product which is a huge plus for me.

Moroccan Argan Oil Conditioner 385ml RRP $19.99 – This is a beautiful rich conditioner that leaves my hair smooth silky and manageable. The products in this range smell lovely but not overpowering, I can’t describe the smell at all but it is not in the least bit offensive or strong. My boyfriend likes the smell though so it must be nice since he never notices things like that!

Moroccan Argan Oil Intensive Moisturising Treatment 237ml RRP $19.99 – I always try to use a hair treatment once a week due to the fact that I fly for a living and it is very dehydrating for skin and hair. The Argan Oil Intensive Moisturising Treatment is combed through then left in for 3-5 minutes, better results can be obtained by placing a shower cap over the top then wrapping with a wet towel. I never have time for that step so I just use the treatment weekly as part of my normal hair washing routine. This is a lovely and thick conditioning treatment that combs through easily leaving hair feeling smooth and moisturised.

Moroccan Argan Oil Penetrating Oil 100ml RRP $24.99 – I’ve been smoothing this product through my hair straight after washing and every couple of days to keep the frizzies at bay. It leaves my hair soft and smooth and while it doesn’t have that gorgeous woodsy smell that Moroccanoil has it’s still lovely and in a way I prefer the fact that it has a more subtle fragrance. It comes in a miniature plastic bottle consistent with the style of the shampoo and conditioner and I find it so much better for dispensing product than Moroccanoil which has a glass bottle with a wide opening which leads me to pour way too much product out. The most wonderful thing about the packaging which is especially important to me is that it is travel friendly, Moroccanoil is heavy and prone to leaking while the Organix product is lighter and more secure.

Moroccan Oil on the left with a big gaping hole to dispense product wastefully, Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Penetrating Oil with a small opening to dispense a small amount of product giving you just the right amount.

When using these products I’ve found that my hair stays clean and manageable and I can go up to three days without my hair ever feeling greasy. I think I could make it to four days but I’m not game enough to go that long without washing my hair. I love these products and I’m so happy that they work for me.

All Organix products are sulfate free and are packaged in eco-friendly bottles manufactured from materials containing  recycled post-consumer resin. Stockist can be found on the Organix Website.

Hmm… I think I’ll have to try this now. I hate the massive hole at the opening of the Moroccan Oil bottle as well… so much wastage!

  2. I was given these to try too. So far, I’m really curious to know how they compare to the real morrocan oil!

I love them and that’s saying a lot since I find it so hard to find haircare products that I like, I get really frizzy hair and this keeps my hair so nice and smooth!

I recently started using the shampoo and conditioner and they’ve been pretty good so far. I wish it had a better scent though. I’m thinking of trying the Intense Moisturizing Treatment cause I dyed my hair and it got super dried>.< Do you know of any other Organix products that are good for dried damaged hair???

    • Megan says:

The scent it pretty underwhelming on these, I haven’t actually tried any other Organix apart from these ones but the Macadamia Oil Hair range is good for dry damaged hair. I love the hair treatment it’s the best I’ve ever used.
