I’ve been very undecided about whether I should review this product or not. I bought it around Christmas time 2009 for $9.95 and it was a limited edition product so no longer available but it is a gorgeous product that I love using, the packaging is to die for and it gives you an idea of some of the gems that you can find in the Sportsgirl makeup section. It’s one of those products that I tend to use sparingly because I’m scared that I’ll use it all up and never be able to find it again!

This product is sold as a bronzer but it is quite shimmery with pink in it so I just use it as a shimmery blush and reserve it for evenings as I think it’s a little too shimmery for daytime.

Here are some photographs of it:

Look familiar:

The box it comes in is exactly the same (apart from the pattern) to the Too Faced Pink Leopard Bronzer. I’m pretty sure that it comes in a round plastic compact now but this is the packaging that it used to have. After comparing the swatches of the Sportsgirl Bronzer to the Too Faced Bronzer online I’m convinced they’re almost if not exactly the same. The Too Faced version retails in Australia for $49.95 or $29 if you’re in the USA so if you’re a fan of this product and you ever happen to come across the Sportsgirl one it is definitely worth picking up.

Here it is swatched for you. From left to right – all the colours mixed together, the bronze, gold and the pink. It was difficult to get swatches of each individual colour.

I remember thinking exctly the same thing!

I picked up one in Forever 21 in NYC recently that is very very similar. They also had one that is an obvious take-off of a Lancome flower patterned blush :p

  2. Argh I looked at the photo and title and was like ‘WTF WHY HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS IN SPORTSGIRL’ and then saw the Christmas 2009 part and was like ‘….oh :( ‘ Hopefully they bring it back, it looks beautiful! And it’s kind of weirdly comforting to know that they were still selling great quality makeup back then. ^__^

I really don’t think it was around long at all, very super duper limited edition. I cherish it and I do hope they bring it back again someday!

Well you dont have to use this so sparingly anymore! It’s back!
    Same product, different packaging. It’s
    A
Pink and leopard box now, similar to the product. I believe it has the same name too if I remember correctly!
