QV Gentle Shampoo and Conditioner Review

I was recently offered the opportunity to trial the new QV Gentle Shampoo and Conditioner which I jumped at since as long as I could remember I’ve had a dry and itchy scalp. My hair is wavy and quite fine in texture, also prone to frizziness. I’ve seen a lot of positive reviews of these products from other bloggers trialling them so I really hoped that they would work for me.

QV Gentle Shampoo – This liquid looked to me exactly like the QV facial wash. It had no fragrance whatsoever and I found it lathered up very well and was very easy to rinse out. I found it quite gentle on my hair and scalp and after a couple of weeks using this my scalp is feeling a lot less itchy, but it’s still very dry.

QV Gentle Conditioner – This also contained not a hint of fragrance. This was a thicker consistency than the shampoo but I did not find it conditioned my hair very well at all. I was unable to comb out tangles with ease and my hair is feeling dry since I started using it. My hair remains frizzy after drying in fact with this product my hair is ridiculously frizzy. I’ve always had great difficulty finding products that tame my frizz, the most successful I’ve used being the Juuce range.

I used these products to wash my hair every second day.

I think I’m going to continue to use the shampoo because my scalp is feeling so much more comfortable without the dreaded itchiness but I’m going to pair it with a different conditioner one that nourishes and moisturises my hair a lot more than the QV one. You can purchase the QV Gentle Shampoo and Conditioner for $9.95 from Pharmacies and Priceline Stores in Australia and they come in 200gm sized bottles.
