After reading Suzanne’s blog post about Eccentric Cosmetics an Australian indie brand sold on Etsy, I just had to get some samples to try. There is a selection of 60 eyeshadows available from the store. I decided to take advantage of an offer where you could try 5 samples for $5, and shipping was $2.50. I placed my order on the 15th of June it was shipped on the 16th of June and I received my order on the 21st of June.

The samples came packaged in a cute little drawstring bag and Anna wrote a little personalised note on the receipt. She even gave me two extra eyeshadows for free! Each little baggie came with a label and had the ingredients listed on each.

Godzuki, Soda, Eternity, Thunderbolt and Trolled

The extras: Advance Electronic and Solar Flare

I swatched these over Urban Decay Primer Potion

Solar Flare – This one looked golden orange in the bag but swatched to a more burnt orange

Advance Electronic – Gorgeous shimmery silver with sparkles, this looked amazing when swatched as the sparkles were multi-coloured

Trolled – A nice forrest green

Godzuki – Gorgeous iridescent teal

Thunderbolt – Dark grey

Soda – Beautiful iridescent pinky orange

Eternity- A dark brown

These eyeshadows had gorgeous pigmentation and I was quite happy to see that the colours I have chosen can work together in many different ways, as well as the two extra colours that Anna has chosen for me. I will be posting a Face of the Day using these eyeshadows so keep an eye out for that. I’m most excited about the fact that these are available in Australia because most Etsy sellers are based in the USA so shipping is nice and quick.

I love the colours! Very pretty. But I am never quite sure how to store these ziplock bags of colours. I prefer my colours to be in little jars…. do you transfer them into jars?

@becbeautiful – I moved these into jars, I’ve got ones that stack on top of each other because I find the little baggies far too messy. They are a bit of a pain to transfer but it makes them so much easier to work with.

Godzuki, Troll and Soda look gorgeous :)

Yay! I’ve transferred mine to jars as well and I’ve been using these a lot! I especially love the plastic translucent stickers, they look so slick when transferred to a pot :)

Thanks Megan. Very glad you like them! For easier way of transferring from bags to jars, I posted a tut.http://twitpic.com/5hkgp3Hope that helps.

Thanks @ SilhouetteScreams and @ Suzanne They’re really nice eyeshadows, Suzanne I’m pretty sure I have to stop reading your blog since I buy almost everything you post about! Thanks @ Anna for the tutorial, I was just pouring them into the jars which left quite a bit of product left in the bags and I’d have to dip my brush in the bag to use up which could get pretty messy!
